About the Redeem Mi Run

The course runs along the Hart-Montague Rail Trail and through Clear Springs Nature Preserve, mixing paved bike path, road, and a short stretch of trail. Aid stations and portable restrooms are spaced out along the way. The race raises money to clean up a former dump site and restore it to natural wetland, and you pass that land near the start and finish.

The race falls on Halloween, and a costume contest runs alongside the running. The land being restored sits right at the start and finish area, so the mission behind the event is visible from the moment you arrive.

Common Questions About the Redeem Mi Run

Will I finish last at the Redeem Mi Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 32:35, and the last recorded finisher came in around 57:54, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Redeem Mi Run a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (29 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Redeem Mi Run?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 17:44 while the median finisher took 32:35. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
