This race is built around the red wagons that roll through St. Jude Hospital, offering patients movement and moments of joy. Runners bring their own wagons to pull kids or pets along the route, so the warmth comes from the cause itself rather than from a finish-line announcer. The shorter route is designed for wagons; the longer is a standard road course.
