About the Red Coyote Safari Lights Run Club
The course winds through the Oklahoma City Zoo's Safari Lights drive-through display, so you are running past animal habitats and lit-up exhibits rather than city streets. The roads are wide and gently rolling. Animal buildings are closed during the run, so you stay on the marked route, but restrooms along the way are open. You can loop the course a couple of times if you want more miles.
Wristbands are distributed ahead of time at the Red Coyote Oklahoma City store location, with day-of pickup also available at the zoo, though early pickup is strongly encouraged. After the run, there is beer from a local brewery and electrolyte drinks near the start area, along with a prize raffle.
