About the Raildogs (12u Mader/Murphy) Home Run Turkey Trot
This is a Thanksgiving morning race at Chestnut Branch Park, put on by a youth softball team as a fundraiser. The park setting keeps it casual, and the fact that a group of young athletes is running the show gives the morning a different energy than a typical road race.
The race goes on rain or shine, so dress for whatever Thanksgiving brings. It is the kind of morning that wraps up well before the holiday really gets going, leaving plenty of time for the rest of the day.
