About the Race to Restore
The course runs inside Mt. Hope Cemetery, a historic burial ground in Lansing. The surroundings are quiet and shaded, with old monuments and markers throughout. The race raises money to restore and upright downed grave markers on the grounds, so there is a clear sense of purpose to the morning beyond the running itself.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Cemetery Courtesy Office, directly across from the cemetery entrance. If that does not work, pickup opens race morning before the start. Timing is handled by a local running organization, with results posted live.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Race to Restore has been held every year since at least 2013. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
