About the Race the Runway 5.02K

The course runs through Bowman Field Airport, and part of it takes you down an active runway with aircraft parked alongside. That is the whole point of this race, and it delivers something you will not find on a road or a trail. The rest of the route stays on airport grounds, so the surroundings are open and flat throughout.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon before the race at the Bowman Field Administrative Office, with race-morning pickup available as well. Before the start, there are snacks, refreshments, and vendor booths set up on the grounds. Portable restrooms are available both at the start and finish area and out on the course.
