About the PowerGames 5K Race
The race starts on Tierra Este in east El Paso, in a part of the city that sits out toward the edge of town. The course is a standard road five-kilometer, and cash prizes go to the overall male and female winners, which gives the front of the field a competitive feel. Proceeds benefit a local cancer foundation.
Packet pickup is the evening before at a gym on Lee Trevino Drive, with a long window that runs most of the day. The start area is on the east side, so plan your drive accordingly if you are coming from central El Paso.
