About the Poultry in Motion; Waco Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K and 1K Run/Walk

The course starts near the Waco Suspension Bridge at Indian Spring Park and runs through downtown on road. The shorter distance is untimed and relaxed in pace; the longer one is officially certified and carries age group and overall awards. There is also a costume contest, and Thanksgiving costumes tend to show up in force.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store on Franklin Ave, with drinks and giveaways on hand. If you miss that window, pickup opens again on race morning. After the race, there is a pie eating contest before the awards ceremony.
