About the Polar Pals 5K, 1 Mile and 1/2 Mile
The course starts and finishes at the front of a school, with the shorter distances looping around the building. It is a simple, self-contained route, well suited to the event's purpose: getting kids and adults outside moving during the cold months.
Hot chocolate is waiting afterward, and the school gymnasium opens up for activities and resources from local departments and community partners. The awards ceremony for top finishers takes place inside the gym, so there is a warm place to land once you are done.
