About the Crow's Nest Turkey Trot
This is a school fun run based at an elementary school in Stafford, open to the wider community, not just enrolled students. The course is on school grounds, the pace is whatever you make it, and costumes are part of the deal, with turkey hats and school spirit gear fitting right in alongside plain running clothes.
Heats go off in waves rather than a single mass start, which keeps things manageable. The event raises money for the school directly, with proceeds going toward physical education programs. Parking and the start area are both on campus, so everything is in one place.
