About the Pinehurst Turkey Trot

The course winds through the residential streets and tree-lined neighborhoods of the village of Pinehurst, the kind of place where porches are close to the road and the surroundings feel genuinely quiet. The route is flat enough that the scenery does most of the work, and plenty of runners show up in costume, so the field has a festive-but-not-forced energy about it.

Packet pickup runs the evening before and again on race morning, both at Timmel Pavilion in the Village Arboretum, which also serves as the start area. Parking is spread across several nearby spots, including Village Hall and a couple of local parks, so arriving a little early makes the morning easier.
