About the PHILADELPHIA DISTANCE RUN
The course has a reputation built on speed. It runs through Philadelphia on pavement that stays flat the whole way, which is rare for a city race, and that flatness is why fast runners come here chasing personal bests. The atmosphere draws a big field, from people who are genuinely racing to people who just want a strong day on a quick route.
There is a post-race party with beer at the finish, and bag check is available on race day. An expo runs before the event, though details are typically announced closer to race weekend.
