About the 2026 14th Annual Penn Alexander School Run for Art & Science 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

The course starts on Locust Street outside the school's front entrance and heads onto the university campus, following Locust Walk out to Penn Park before looping back to the same block. It is a road race on paved paths through a classic college campus, shaded and flat for most of the route. Volunteer cheerleaders are posted along the way.

Packet pickup is held in the school cafeteria on the two days before the race, with morning and afternoon windows on each day. If you miss those, there is a day-of table in the courtyard just outside the front door. After the race, results go up via QR codes posted around campus, and there is a dance party by the playground while awards are sorted.
