About the 3rd Annual Patriot 5K - Halloween Edition
The course starts and finishes on a high school campus, looping through campus paths and the surrounding neighborhood streets. The terrain has gentle rolling hills throughout, and the route is well marked with volunteers along the way. Costumes are part of the deal here, with awards for best adult, child, and group getups.
The start and finish are both at the high school, so there is a central gathering point for the morning. Post-race brings a costume contest, which gives the finish area a different energy than a typical fall race.
