The course runs through Central Park of Morris County on a cross country course with mixed terrain: dirt, grass, and gravel underfoot, with hills woven in. It is not a road race pretending to be a trail run. The surroundings feel genuinely parklike, and the varied surface keeps you paying attention the whole way.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at Fleet Feet in Morristown, with race-morning pickup available on site until shortly before the gun. The race recommends arriving early, as parking and lines can build. Empanadas, with vegetarian options, are waiting at the finish.
