About the Palm Springs Tram Road Challenge
The course goes straight up. Starting at a highway intersection at the edge of the desert, the route climbs the entire way to the finish with no flat stretches to recover on. The San Jacinto Mountains rise ahead of you and the Coachella Valley spreads out behind. It is a hard, sustained effort on a road that does not let up.
There is a post-race festival at the top with food, drinks, booths, and entertainment. A bus brings you back down, which matters more than it sounds after a climb like this.
