About the JINGLE PAWS 5K & ELF DASH

The course starts and finishes at a temple on a quiet residential street, then winds through neighborhood streets that are flat and easy to move through. Dogs on leash are welcome, and so are strollers. The race benefits a local nonprofit that trains guide dogs for people who are blind or living with other disabilities.

Packet pickup is available both the morning of the race and the evening before. The start area is the temple parking lot, which gives the whole thing a grounded, local feel rather than a big-production setup.

Common Questions About the JINGLE PAWS 5K & ELF DASH

Will I finish last at the JINGLE PAWS 5K & ELF DASH?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 32:33, and the last recorded finisher came in around 59:30, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the JINGLE PAWS 5K & ELF DASH a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (125 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the JINGLE PAWS 5K & ELF DASH?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 0:11 while the median finisher took 32:33. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
