About the ORRRC Xenia Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 10K
The courses share a start and finish at the Xenia YMCA and fan out through downtown before looping into residential neighborhoods and picking up a rail-trail on the way back. The terrain is fast, and the marathon carries Boston Qualifier certification. The rail-trail stretch is a nice break from the streets, shaded and quieter than the neighborhood sections.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before the race and again early on race morning, both at the YMCA. After you finish, there is a post-race spread with warm food alongside the usual bananas, water, and sports drinks. The race is put on entirely by volunteers and benefits youth running programs and scholarships in the region.
