About the One Step Closer to the Cure Castaway 5K & S.S. Minnow Mile

The course runs through downtown Saint Petersburg along the waterfront, with Albert Whitted Park as the hub. The Gilligan's Island theme runs all the way through the morning, costumes are encouraged, and the Island Stiletto Dash adds a crowd-pleasing stretch where participants trade their running shoes for heels in solidarity with ovarian cancer patients.

Packet pickup happens at a local running store and a nearby restaurant in the days before the race, with race-morning pickup available at the park. The park itself sits on the water directly across from the Dali Museum. Street parking and city garages are nearby, though the museum lot and the park itself are off-limits for parking.
