About the On the Run Half Marathon
The course runs through Old Orchard Beach in late winter, before the summer crowds arrive. The town has a different character in the off-season, quiet streets and ocean air, and the route reflects that. Aid stations are spread across the course, and display clocks at the early distance markers help you gauge your pace as you go.
Race-day registration and packet pickup open well before the start at the Brunswick Hotel on West Grand Ave. Free parking is available nearby on First Street. After the finish, mac and cheese and salad are on hand for runners, and a cash bar opens mid-morning.
