About the Breakaway 5K
The course starts at the corner of Walnut and Milliken Streets and heads out along West Grand Avenue toward Ocean Park before turning back. The road is mostly flat the whole way, with no serious climbing, so it tends to run fast. The finish is at The Brunswick, right on the beach.
Packet pickup is the evening before at the Milliken Mills parking lot, close to the start, with a second window early on race morning at the same spot. Free parking is available in the public lot near the race start. After the race, a continental breakfast and awards ceremony are held at The Brunswick.
