About the Jimmy the Greeks Frozen 4-Miler
The race starts and finishes at a brick oven restaurant on Saco Avenue, which also serves as the hub for the whole morning. The course runs through Old Orchard Beach in the middle of winter, on a day chosen around the midday warmth, and the route is short enough to serve as a tune-up for longer winter races on the calendar.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at the restaurant, with live music and a discount on food for anyone who shows up. Parking is free around the building and on nearby side streets, with no meters to worry about in the off-season.
