About the NYC Race of Hope

The course runs through the quieter northern reaches of Central Park, away from the busier paths closer to midtown. The terrain is park road and path, and the route is mostly gentle. The start and finish are at the Davis Center, a recently built facility inside the park that gives the event a real anchor point.

The race falls on Mother's Day, so the crowd around the finish tends to include a lot of families. The Davis Center handles packet pickup as well, so there is no separate stop across town before race morning.
