About the Riverside Church Turkey Trot
The course loops around Randall's Island, a park sitting in the middle of the East River, so waterfront views and the city skyline stay close the whole way. The terrain is gentle and the route is a single loop, which keeps navigation simple. Proceeds go to the church's food pantry and social services programs, so the race has a clear purpose behind it.
Parking is available near Icahn Stadium on the island. If you are coming by transit, a bus line runs directly onto Randall's Island from a nearby subway stop, and the island is also reachable on foot via the footbridge from East Harlem. Water, electrolyte drinks, snacks, and fresh fruit are at the finish. Bag check is available; one clear bag is the rule.
