About the Nocturnal 12
The course runs out and back along a paved path that sits parallel to Lake Ontario State Parkway, flat and wide underfoot. The race runs through the night, so bring a headlamp: the path has no lighting, and autumn leaves can make the surface slippery in spots. You set your own distance by completing as many out-and-back laps as you want before time is called.
Packet pickup happens on race day only, in the window before the start, so plan to arrive with enough time to sort your bib and get settled before things begin. An all-night aid station runs the full duration, with food options collected at registration so dietary needs can be accommodated. Parking is on the shoulder of Island Cottage Road near the trailhead.
