About the New Orleans Marathon
The route begins at an art museum and winds through the city streets to a finish in Roosevelt Mall. The surroundings have real character, the kind of neighborhoods that feel lived-in rather than staged, and the city does most of the work of keeping you moving.
After finishing, the post-race party moves inside Tad Gormley Stadium, with food and music. When that wraps up, the French Quarter is close enough that most people drift that way on their own.
