About the NCPD Police Officer Memorial 5K Run
This race is a memorial run held in honor of Nassau County police officers who died in the line of duty. Proceeds go toward scholarships given in the names of fallen officers to high school students heading to college who are involved in running. The course itself is a standard road five-kilometer route through East Meadow.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a running store in Farmingdale, with a second pickup window at the race site before the start. Keep your bib centered on your chest so the on-course photographers can read it.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2019 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The NCPD Police Officer Memorial 5K Run has been held every year since at least 2014. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
