East Meadow, NY
This event in East Meadow is organized around raising money for disaster relief in the Caribbean. Runners and walkers go at whatever pace suits them, and the cause is the throughline holding the morning together. It reads less like a race and more like a neighborhood gathering with a purpose behind it.
