About the Mountain Lakes Mania 5K & 10K

The course runs through Mountain Lakes Ranch, and the longer distance option has a reputation for being genuinely tough. Expect real hills and a route that winds through the ranch property rather than anything flat or predictable. The race is put on by the community's own social committee, with proceeds going back into neighborhood events throughout the year.

The race starts near a fitness track on one of the ranch's main roads. Packet pickup and race-morning registration both open before the first wave goes off, so there is no need to arrive the night before if that does not work for you.
