About the Monroeville Foundation Great Pumpkin Race
The race runs through Monroeville Community Park West, a large municipal park that gives the course a natural, open feel. Halloween costumes are part of the scene, so expect plenty of dressed-up runners alongside people who showed up to run seriously. A family walk follows the main race, which shapes the crowd and the energy of the morning.
Race-morning registration and packet pickup open before the start, so there is no need to scramble the day before. An awards ceremony follows the race and walk, keeping most people around the finish area for a while after they are done.
