The course mixes paved roads with a stretch of trail along the shore of Chautauqua Lake, so you get water views for part of the run. There are hills, and the organizers are upfront about that. It is a Thanksgiving-weekend race put on by a local nonprofit, and the village setting keeps the whole thing small and unhurried.
