About the 2026 Market Street Run for Blue

The course runs along Market Street from the Delaware River side of Old City toward the Schuylkill River, then loops back to the finish near Front and Dock Streets. Runners go the full length out and back; walkers turn around at City Hall. The route is road the entire way, passing through the center of the city with recognizable Philadelphia landmarks on either side.

Packet pickup happens at the Old City Marriott across several windows before race day, including a short window on race morning itself. After finishing, there are police horses, K-nine units, coffee and pastries from Wawa, and live music on site. Market Street closes early in the morning, so arriving with time to park and settle in is worth planning for.

Common Questions About the 2026 Market Street Run for Blue

Will I finish last at the 2026 Market Street Run for Blue?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5 Miles field finished slower than 48:40, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:26:23, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.
