About the Mad Scientist Dash for Sci-Port
The course runs out and back along the Clyde Fant Parkway, starting at the corner of Lake Street. It is a road course, flat and straightforward, with the riverfront setting giving it some atmosphere. There is also a costume contest and a mascot dash before the main event, so the crowd at the start line tends to be in good spirits.
Packet pickup happens at Sportspectrum on Fern Ave in the days before the race, with race-day pickup available at the start site as well. Awards go to overall winners and to the top finisher in each age group.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
