About the LVRR September Summer Series 5K
The course runs on cinder trail through Lehigh Parkway, mostly flat with the feel of a park run rather than a road race. The real draw for this final race of the summer series is the prediction format: no watches allowed, and every runner self-starts based on their own estimated finish time, with everyone aiming to cross the line at the same moment.
Check-in is at the club's small white house at the end of the park road, where volunteers in orange vests are easy to spot. Hotdogs, water, and chips are out after the race. Parking follows the road in from either the highway to the north or the one to the south, both routes funneling to the same five-way intersection at the parkway entrance.
