About the LouAnn Burchfield/Kathy Hannan Hale Colors of Cancer Memorial 5K Color Run/Walk and 1k Kids Fun Runo
The course heads out from a local coffee shop along the Ohio River on roads. It is flat the whole way, with the river alongside for most of the run. Many participants wear colors chosen to represent a specific cancer, honoring someone they lost or are supporting, which gives the morning a personal, quiet weight beneath the brighter moments.
Registration happens at Tri B's the morning of the race, so there is no separate trip the evening before. After the run, the coffee shop stays open and donates a portion of specialty drink sales to the charity benefiting local cancer patients and their families.

The LouAnn Burchfield/Kathy Hannan Hale Colors of Cancer Memorial 5K Color Run/Walk and 1k Kids Fun Runo has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
