About the Living Water 5K and Family Fun Walk/Jog
The race is held at Berkeley Lake Park, which gives the course a natural, open feel with the lake as the backdrop. The shorter fun walk and the 5K run go off at the same time, so the start area tends to mix faster runners and families moving at their own pace.
The event is tied to a clean-water charity, so the crowd skews toward people who are there for the cause as much as the clock. Post-race, the park gives everyone space to spread out, and the start and finish are in the same spot near the lake.
