The course runs through Forsyth Park, one of Savannah's most recognizable green spaces, past oak-lined paths and historic park loops. The street stays open to traffic, so flaggers and directional signs keep you on course. It is a self-timed race, which sets the tone: this is a morning out in a beautiful park, not a chip-timed event with corrals.
Packet pickup is the evening before at Fleet Feet Savannah, with the start area in and around Forsyth Park. A cash prize goes to the first man and woman across the line, so there is a competitive thread if you want it, but most people seem to be here for the park and the post-race festival.
