About the Lighthouse 5k Series May 19, 2027

The course winds through the historic district of Corolla, passing the Whalehead Club mansion, the Corolla Light community, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse along the way. The surroundings are the northern Outer Banks, so the scenery is genuinely the point. The terrain is flat and coastal, with the start and finish in front of the Whalehead Club.

Packet pickup and walk-up registration both happen race morning at the start line, so there is no need to sort anything out the day before. Parking is available on site, and restrooms are there as well. The race draws families on vacation, so the atmosphere at the start area reflects that.
