About the Lansing Turkey Trot

The course runs through Lansing on Thanksgiving morning, starting and finishing at Lansing Community College. The start is wide and uses a rolling format, so faster runners move to the front while everyone else filters in behind without a scramble. Chip timing begins when you cross the mats, so there is no penalty for easing into your corral.

Packet pickup happens the two days before the race at Playmakers, a running store in Okemos, where you can also pick up for others in your group. Race-morning pickup is available in the Gannon building on campus. Parking is in the college ramp, which volunteers help direct, and you can leave before the last finisher is in.
