About the Lakeland Rotary Rump Roast Run
The courses follow the shoreline of Lake Minocqua and push into wooded lanes, with the longer route moving through wetland terrain before reaching an old railroad trestle on the Bearskin Trail. There are distance options for adults and a separate kids' race, so families tend to show up together. Underfoot you get a mix of pavement and trail.
Packet pickup runs the evening before and again race morning, both at the American Legion on Front Street, directly across from the post office. After the race, the Beef-A-Rama festival is going on nearby, with live music, food vendors, and a beer garden. Top finishers take home beef roasts; age group winners get cowbells.
