About the MINOCQUA NORTHWOODS ESCAPE MARATHON
The course follows the Bearskin Trail, a paved rail trail that cuts through the northwoods, heading out from Minocqua and returning the same way. Shade is heavy most of the way, and the terrain is flat throughout. The race is Boston-certified, so the course is measured precisely. All distances start and finish at Bearskin Park, near a trestle bridge in the heart of downtown.
Packet pickup is held the evening before at the American Legion in downtown Minocqua, with a second window early on race morning for those arriving the day of. Both are at the same location, which is close to the start area.
