About the Lake Placid Rotary Howl-o-ween Fun Run/Walk
The course loops through the village and around Mirror Lake, so you are running on flat ground with the water nearby for most of it. Costumes are encouraged, and dogs are welcome along for the run, which gives the whole thing a carnival feel without anyone having to announce it.
Proceeds go toward a new local dog park, so the cause is right there on the course with you, often wearing a cape or a hot dog costume.

The Lake Placid Rotary Howl-o-ween Fun Run/Walk has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
