About the Kisatchie Crusher- Gravel, Run, Fondo & MTB
The run portion of this multi-sport weekend follows paved roads through the park, with lake views along the way. It shares the weekend with gravel cycling, mountain biking, and a road fondo, all centered at Caney Lakes in Kisatchie Forest. The surrounding terrain is piney woods, and the area carries real elevation for those tackling the longer cycling routes.
The day-use area serves as the hub, with shade, an amphitheater, picnic tables, restrooms, and a sandy beach with lake swimming nearby. Showers are on site, which matters given the dusty conditions on the dirt and gravel routes. A post-race meal is included with registration, and the proceeds support local trail maintenance and expansion.
