About the King's Compassion 5K
The course runs through McAllister Park, a large city park on the north side of San Antonio with paved and natural-surface paths shaded by live oaks. The race benefits a nonprofit that delivers food and essentials to homebound seniors, so the cause is woven into the morning. The crowd skews toward families and first-timers, and the pace of the field reflects that.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a Fleet Feet location on the west side of the city. On race morning, registration and chip pickup open well before the gun, giving you time to park and settle in before the pre-race warm-up kicks off on the pavilion grounds.
