About the Kennekuk Road Runners - Siberian Express Trail Race
The course runs through Kickapoo State Recreation Area, heading east from the park before diving into the woods. Expect steep climbs and descents, creek crossings, and bridges underfoot. It is mostly trail, and the terrain earns that word. Winter wildlife sightings are common enough that they are worth mentioning. This is a genuinely demanding run.
Packet pickup happens race morning at the Kickapoo State Park Maintenance Building, before the start. There are no aid stations on the course, so carry what you need. Race-day registration is cash or check only.
