About the Julia's Warriors Run For Hope

The course runs at Smithville Lake, starting and finishing at a beach area. It opens on road before moving onto paved trails along the water, so you get a stretch of shoreline scenery in the middle of the route. It is a tribute race honoring a woman lost to breast cancer, and that history is present throughout the morning.

Packet pickup is held the evening before at a local church in town. Race-morning pickup is available at the course for those who cannot make it out ahead of time. After the race, the Sons of the American Legion serve biscuits and gravy, juice, and coffee at the nearby American Legion building, with proceeds going to the foundation behind the event.
