The course runs through downtown Stuart, starting near Memorial Park, though construction has pushed the starting area a short distance from the park's usual footprint. It is an urban course on streets, flat enough for a holiday-morning crowd that includes strollers and dogs alongside runners. The race is a Junior League fundraiser, so there is a sense of purpose behind the gathering beyond the finish line.
