About the Cooper's CURE-ageous 5K Trail Race
This trail race runs through Halpatiokee Park and raises money for families of children battling childhood cancer, through a foundation built in memory of a local boy named Cooper Steadman. The cause is local and personal, and that shapes the whole morning.
The foundation behind the race was started by Cooper's family and community after his passing. People who show up here are largely from that same community, and the weight of what the race is for sits quietly alongside the running.
