The course runs along a closed stretch of Forest Park Drive, so there is no traffic to contend with. The surface is paved and the setting is a park, which gives the whole thing a little breathing room. Costumes are encouraged, and enough people show up dressed for the holidays that it reads as part of the experience.
Packet pickup is on race morning, right at the start. There are holiday treats and drinks at the finish area. Parking in the park is free.
