About the Hell on Earth
The course runs through Forest Park on a closed stretch of Forest Park Drive, so there is no traffic to navigate. The park setting gives it a different feel from a typical street race, with trees around you instead of storefronts. Costumes are common enough that showing up without one puts you in the minority.
Packet pickup happens on race morning at the park. There are treats and drinks at the finish area, and the organizers note that parking is free.

The Hell on Earth has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
